About Us

The North Highland Woodturning Club was formed in the summer of 2004.

The first regular meetings were held in the woodworking room in Thurso College but the club has now moved to the Castletown Heritage Centre, Castletown, Caithness, Scotland, KW14 8TG.

Meetings are held on the third Saturday only in January.The first and third Saturday from Febuary to November.
The first Saturday only in December,this is our annual competition.
All meetings are at Castletown Heritage Centre between 9.0am.and 12.0noon.

We are an affiliated branch of the Association of Woodturners of Great Britain.
This means that when you join the NHWA you will also become a member of the AWGB,
the only UK national body devoted to woodturning.

The club is suitable for all levels of woodturners including beginners.
 
Membership costs £40 per year.
